Former Army Chief General (r) Qamar Javed Bajwa has once again given an interview to a local media outlet.
In his interview, he talked about different things including Imran Khan, assassination attempt on Absar Alam, banning journalists, Imaan Mazari and much more.

Firing Journalists From Jobs
Durin his interview, General (r) Qamar Javed Bajwa denied that he had anything to do with getting journalists such as Murtaza Solangi, Talat Hussain and Nusrat Javed fired from their jobs.
He said that it was General Faiz who got Talat Hussain fired from his job, adding that he helped the journalist through Gen Faiz.
Assassination Attempt on Absar Alam
The former Army Chief categorically denied green lighting an assassination attempt on Absar Alam. “Do you think killing a human is an ordinary thing? I have never in my life ordered the killing of an innocent human.”
Furthermore, he was unaware of the attack on journalist Asad Toor. According to him, he got to know about it the very next day.
About Stripping Azam Swati and Shahbaz Gill
Qamar Javed Bajwa termed the allegations regarding stripping the two Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders as totally “rubbish.” He said that he had nothing to do with any of these things but Azam Swati called him a bastard.
About Imaan Mazari
The ex-army chief said that lower ranked army officers were furious at Shireen Mazari’s daughter’s derogatory remarks about him. He claimed that one Major said that we should “fix her”, however, he ordered to deal this matter as per law.
“GHQ then filed an FIR against Imaan Mazari. Justice Athar Minallah’s daughter is friends with Imaan and he granted her bail,” NayaDaur wrote.
Bajwa said that he intentionally didn’t follow up on this case so that it all ends there.
About Removing General Irfan Malik From ISI:
General Bajwa in his interview clarified rumours about sacking General Irfan Malik from ISI because he threatened to “smash” Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
“But it was not General Bajwa who removed him, it was General Faiz, who wanted to do the work of both DG ISI and DGC himself,” wrote Naya Daur.
“He also did not give the order for military officers to enter Maryam Nawaz’s room in Karachi. Brigadier Habib was the sector commander at the time.”
“When Captain Safdar chanted slogans at the Mazar-e-Quaid, there was pressure from the public, military personnel, and the media to take action against him.”
“General Faiz had ordered to file a case, but things escalated at the lower level. However, when the police raided the place, Captain Safdar and Maryam Nawaz were in separate rooms. They were not in the same room.”
About Imran Khan and Sheikh Rashid
Regarding the former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Bajwa said that he is very skilled in telling lies. “He is a very cunning person and repeatedly tells lies, and people believe him.”
“Imran Khan had thrown Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman into jail. I got him released. I told Imran Khan that Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman is a cancer patient and he could die in jail, after which he agreed to let him go.”
The journalist who interviewed General Qamar Javed Bajwa stated that during their interview, there were reports circulating about the arrest of Sheikh Rashid. Bajwa said that Rashid shouldn’t be arrested as he isn’t that important.
According to General Bajwa, Sheikh Rashid perhaps does not have any intelligence level. He is completely idle and constantly lies and like astrologers, he just makes predictions.
