Sri Lanka has been under crisis for the past several weeks. Things turned more violent when thousands of protestors entered the official residence of the President.
Furthermore, the prime minister‘s home in Colombo was also set ablaze. A video of thousands of protestors outside the presidential palace has particularly been going viral.

The protests have gained immense attention worldwide following yesterday’s event. Protestors are demanding the resignation of the Sri Lanka’s President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The demand finally seems to have been met as the country’s parliamentary speaker said on Saturday that the president will step down next Wednesday.
