For the last few days, there have been rumours circulating on social media regarding billions of rupees in the bank accounts of Maulana Tariq Jamil.
As per the social media rumours, the bank accounts of the renowned religious scholar contained a whopping Rs. 49 billion.
Furthermore, it has also been claimed that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has frozen the bank accounts of Maulana Tariq Jamil.
Renowned Pakistani singer turned politician Jawad Ahmed on his Twitter account asked if the news regarding the religious scholar is true.
Now, Tariq Jamil’s son – Yousaf Jamil – has responded to these social media rumours. He took to his Twitter account to deny the news circulating on the internet.
“There is news circulating regarding the freezing of Maulana Tariq Jamil’s bank account and it is also being claimed that it contained billions of rupees.”
He clarified that there is no truth in such news and requested everyone to refrain from spreading such news about his father.
