Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar has called for investigation into the brutal killing of Arshad Sharif.
In a statement to a private TV channel, DG ISPR said that investigation should be carried out to know facts about the murder of the senior journalist.
He added that the it should also be investigated as to why Arshad Sharif left Pakistan. The Prime Minister had also contacted the Kenyan President in this regard.
DG ISPR said that the government of Pakistan has asked for a complete investigation of the tragic incident. Kenyan police have admitted wrongdoing, but many questions remain.
He further said that Arshad Sharif was a professional journalist, adding that full legal action should be taken against those making accusations without proof.
