YouTube has reportedly gone down in some areas of Pakistan this evening, as per various social media users.
People from different areas of Pakistan took to their social media accounts to share YouTube being inaccessible to them.
Journalist Wajahat Kazmi wrote: “Seems like YouTube has been taken down in Pakistan..”
PTI official account tweeted: “YouTube is partially down in various areas of Pakistan during the speech of Chairman Imran Khan and PTA should clarify if they have something to do with it.”
It should be noted that PEMRA had banned the live telecast of PTI chief Imran Khan’s speeches after he announced to file cases against a female judge and officials of Islamabad police.
Today, PEMRA also suspended the transmission of BOL TV after it violated the orders of the regulatory body and showed Imran Khan’s speech live.
The PTI chief was addressing a rally in Rawalpindi. So far, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) hasn’t responded as to why YouTube is not working across some areas of Pakistan.
Update: YouTube is back up again.
