A PTI activist – Sikandar Zaman – has been sent to prison for three years after criticising the state institutions on his social media account.
According to details, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supporter had posted against the state institutions which led to his arrest.
A local court in Faisalabad announced the verdict in his case last week. Sikandar Zaman has been sent to jail for three years as well as a fine has also been imposed on him.
The PTI supporter has been sent to district jail Faisalabad. There isn’t much information available about Sikandar, however, according to his Twitter profile, he is a social media activist and a blogger.

On the other hand, focal person to PTI chief Imran Khan on social media, Azhar Mashwani, said that the Insaf Lawyers Forum are trying to contact his family.
