The weather in Melbourne has been on everyone’s mind for the last few days as it hosts one of sports biggest rivalries today.
Pakistan and India will face each other at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in the much anticipated game of the ICC T20 World Cup at 1PM PST.
The Weather in Melbourne was reported to be cloudy in the morning but no rain so far. The two teams completed their training sessions in dry conditions and the weather forecast for today is a lot better than the wet conditions earlier in the week.
The Bureau of Meteorology of the Australian Government has given weather update for Sunday, predicting ”70% chances of showers, most likely this evening”.
“Cloudy. High (70%) chance of showers, most likely this evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the northeast suburbs. Winds southerly 15 to 25 km/h tending southeasterly 20 to 30 km/h in the evening.”
The cloudy conditions in Melbourne will be a great opportunity for the team to win toss and bowl first. If Pakistan wins the toss, Shaheen Shah Afridi’s opening bowling spell will be a treat to watch.
The Men in Green will be much more confident compared to their rivals, given the results of the last three matches between the two teams. Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets in the last T20 World Cup.
