Renowned religious scholar Mufti Menk has arrived in Pakistan to take part in the flood relief activities.
The recent floods have affected one-third part of the country with more than 1500 losing their lives.
A population of over 33 million people have been affected. Furthermore, the floods have also incurred $30 billion financial losses.
A number of countries have come forward to help Pakistan but due to the large scale destruction, its still not enough.
Mufti Menk is one of the renowned faces, who have arrived in Pakistan to help and highlight the humanitarian crisis.
He shared a video of the flood victims narrating their situation following the floods. “Floods have destroyed our crops. My house is also damaged. I have to pay the loan to the landowner and we live here without anything,” said one of the affectees.
Mufti Menk was seen visiting the affected areas of Sindh. “No matter what is done, there is so much that still needs to be done,” said the religious scholar.
He also requested the people around the globe to help the flood victims in any way possible. Mufti Menk also distributed tents and other basic necessities among the people.
The renowned religious scholar also shared a couple of videos of himself enjoying tea in Pakistan. It should be noted that he is a household name in Pakistan with millions of followers in the country.
