Paris Saint-Germain have been dealt with a huge blow as Kylian Mbappe participation in the clash against Real Madrid looks in doubt. According to French media outlets, the Parisian player suffered a blow to his leg in the training session today.
At first, PSG feared Mbappe might have fractured his foot. However, the tests carried out confirmed nothing as serious as a fracture. The initial medical tests have revealed that PSG’s top goal scorer this season is in major doubt for their UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday.
The French club is already dealing with injury problems. Sergio Ramos and Ander Herrera are unlikely to make the squad against the Los Blancos due to injuries. On the other hand, Real Madrid are also dealing with injury problems of their own. Toni Kroos is almost out of the game against PSG. However, he is trying his best to get fit to play the all important match of the season.
Kylian Mbappe rescued his team against Real Madrid at the Parc Des Princes when he scored a late winner. As per reports, a PSG teammate tackled him right above the ankle this morning. He is said to be in a lot of pain.
Lionel Messi will also be the centre of attention when he returns back to Spain after missing a penalty in the first leg. The Argentine magician has struggled to find the back of the net at his new club. He has only scored 7 goals across all competitions for the Parisians.
PSG will arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu with a one goal lead. It is pertinent to mention that UEFA has scrapped the away goal rule for the UCL this season. The team which scores the most goals across the two legs will advance to the next stage.
