The Met Office said cold and dry weather is likely to prevail across most districts of Sindh, with the intensity of the cold expected to continue for the next two days. Westerly winds are likely to affect upper parts of the country from January 18 to January 20, which may also influence weather conditions in Sindh.
The PMD said this weather system could bring a chance of rain to Karachi and other parts of the province. After the system passes, another cold wave may affect Sindh, including Karachi.
The department also noted that the country recorded 34 percent less rainfall than average in December 2025. It warned that moderate to dense fog is likely in several upper Sindh districts, including Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Larkana, Tando Jam, and surrounding areas.
Elsewhere in Sindh, cold conditions persisted, with several cities recording near-freezing temperatures, while coastal areas remained comparatively milder.
