Gallup Pakistan has released its recently conducted survey, which covered all four provinces and both urban and rural areas of Pakistan. The survey was done over the first 20 days of February 2023.
In the survey, around 2000 respondents participated and provided some interesting findings.
In the survey, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is being blamed for the economic instability and inflation in the country.
According to 62% of the Pakistanis, PDM is responsible for the current crisis, rather than the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The survey revealed that almost 1 in 5 Pakistanis reported that they or someone in their household has lost their job in the last six months.
PTI Chief Imran Khan popularity continues to grow as he received a positive rating from 61% of Pakistanis.
Both Nawaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto are way behind him with only 36% of respondents having a good opinion of them.
When asked whether the want Nawaz Sharif to return to Pakistan, 61% of the respondents said yes. Furthermore, 91% of PML N supporters are also in favour of his return.
Interestingly, 53% of respondents said that they would leave their current party if a new political party was formed, consisting of honest political members and technocrats.
