The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting which was attended by the education ministers of all the provinces decided to postpone the decision regarding the closure of educational institutions in the country yet again.
It was decided that the meeting will be held tomorrow with fresh data in order to make a decision regarding the closure educational institutions in Pakistan as Omicron cases continue to increase.
Furthermore, today’s meeting also discussed measure to minimise the spread of the virus. Earlier, serving snacks in buses and on commercial flights was banned.
In addition, the meeting also decided to increase the pace of vaccination as the positivity ratio continues to climb across the country, especially Karachi with a 40% positivity ratio. Last week, the Sindh government had decided against closing educational institutions across the province.
