The Bollywood remake of hit Pakistani song Pasoori has finally been released and netizens don’t seem impressed one bit.
The cast and makers of Satyaprem Ki Katha dropped the teaser for Pasoori Nu yesterday. The song has officially been released today.
The Bollywood remake of Pasoori has been sung by Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar, featuring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.
In the video, we can see the two Bollywood stars romancing each other on a set. It also gives us a glimpse of the film, the two sitting together on a bench with the picturesque mountains of Kashmir in the background.
The lyrics of Pasoori have been reworked in Hindi as the original song is in Punjabi and Urdu languages. Watch the video below:
Reacting to the song, social media users expressed mixed opinion. However, from the reaction of the majority of the fans, it is safe to say that Arijit Singh failed to impress.
“This is disturbing. What was the need? Even Arijit Singh’s melodious voice can’t save this song,” wrote someone on YouTube.
A netizen thought Chahat Fateh Ali Khan would have done a better job.
“There’s nothing wrong in buying rights of a song but butchering it like this is disgusting,” wrote Abdullah.
