Renowned Pakistani actor Asad Malik has apologised for his tweet regarding Army Chief Syed Asim Munir, PM Shehbaz Sharif and Hina Rabbani Khar.
The popular actor had received backlash after he tweeted a picture of the three from a meeting which was attended by top officials.
“Is this a love triangle or what?,” Asad Malik had written while sharing the picture.
“Maaf kerna ager gustaakhi ho to,” he had further written.
Following his tweet, many social media users bashed him as they didn’t expect such a “disgusting” tweet from their favourite celebrity.
Now, Malik has apologised for his tweets and asked for forgiveness from his fans and followers. Netizens believe that the actor’s “software has been successfully updated.”
In his apology video, Asad said: “Sometimes you share things without thinking about the impact they can have.”
However, according to him, as soon as he realized his mistake, he deleted the tweet. “I have apologised to the people and assured them that he would be careful about this the next time,” he continued.
“I didn’t know who was the women in the picture, which is another irresponsible thing on my part,” he further stated.
The Maat actor clarified that it wasn’t his intention to disrespect anyone. He reassured that such a mistake won’t be repeated again and that he will be forgiven.
