Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed to announce an additional holiday for Eid-ul-Azha.
The central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee had earlier announced that the Bakra Eid will be celebrated across the country on June 29.
Following the approval of PM Shehbaz Sharif, the cabinet division had declared June 29, 30 and 31 as the official holidays for Eid.
It should be noted that employees who work 5 days a week were supposed to get only two Eid holidays on 29 and 30. Now, PM Shehbaz has directed to include June 28 in the Eid holidays as well.
According to the sources, after some time the formal notification of the additional off day will also be issued by the Cabinet Division.
Apart from this, the statement issued by the State Bank of Pakistan has said that the central bank will be closed on June 29 and 30 due to the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
