In a short span of time, Babar Azam has ranked himself among the top batsmen in the world. Despite playing most of his matches away from home, Babar Azam has still managed to write his name in the history books.

1– Third fastest to reach 5,000 runs in T20 cricket:

Batting against Glamorgan in the recently held T20 Blast, Babar Azam smashed an unbeaten 114 runs to help his team win the game. During this innings, Babar Azam became the third fastest batsman to reach the mark of 5,000 runs in T20 cricket.
It took Azam 145 innings to reach this milestone. West Indian legend – Chris Gayle – is the fastest (132 innings) to score 5,000 runs followed by Shaun Marsh (144 innings).
2– Joint-fastest batsman to 1500 runs in T20 cricket:
Babar Azam’s half century in second T20i game of the series against England recently couldn’t help Pakistan win the game but it surely helped him achieve another feat.
He became the Joint-fastest batsman to 1500 runs in T20 cricket alongside Virat Kohli and Aron Finch. Just like his counterparts, Babar Azam also took 39-innings to equal the record.
3– 3rd fastest to reach 11 ODI hundreds:

Just over an year ago, Babar Azam became the third fastest batsman in the world to score 11 ODI centuries. He surpassed the Indian capatain – Virat Kohli – to achieve this milestone. He broke the record in 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka in Karachi last year.
Babar Azam scored his 11th ODI hundred in the 71st innings of his career. The first and second spot belongs to two protease – Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock – who took 64 and 65 innings respectively.
4– 7th Pakistani to score a half-century in five consecutive Test innings:

The star batsman continued his sublime form in England as well during Pakistan cricket team’s tour. In the first innings of the first test match, Babar Azam smashed a wonderful half century to become only the seventh Pakistani batsman to score a half-century in five consecutive innings of the longer format of the game.
5– Only batsman in the top five batting ranking across all formats:
Babar Azam is among those batsmen in the world of cricket, who are dominant across all the formats of the game. This is pretty evident from his batting ranking in all the three formats of the game.
Babar Azam is ranked at No. 2 in T20, No.3 in ODIs and No.5 in tests.
