Police have arrested three suspects, including a woman, who were part of a criminal gang targeting customers through the OLX app. According to The News, the suspects were allegedly involved in tricking victims by pretending to buy or sell items on the platform and then robbing them at gunpoint once they met in person.
Authorities were tipped off about their activities, which led to a raid and the successful capture of the individuals. The suspects arrested in the operation are Shakeel, known as Khalifa, Asif, and Kainat.

During the police operation, officials managed to recover a range of stolen items, valued at over one million rupees. These included seven mobile phones, a pistol with ammunition, and Rs200,000 in cash.
The police confirmed that the suspects had been using the app to target people, taking advantage of their trust in the online platform. The authorities are continuing their investigation and have registered cases against the accused.
This arrest is part of a larger crackdown on online scams and criminal activities related to online marketplaces. The police are urging citizens to remain cautious when buying or selling items through such platforms and to report any suspicious behavior immediately.
