In a major step to improve education, the Punjab government has rolled out a recruitment plan to address staffing shortages in public schools. This initiative aims to fill vacant teaching and administrative positions across the province, ensuring schools function smoothly and efficiently.
District CEOs of the Education Authority have been directed to prepare detailed reports on vacancies in their regions. A special five-member committee, led by senior officials of the School Education Department, will oversee the recruitment process and ensure transparency.

The government has also decided to reassign staff from outsourced institutions for non-teaching roles, providing much-needed administrative support. Additionally, the monitoring unit will identify schools with the greatest staffing needs and prioritize them for new hires.
Teachers awaiting assignments will be placed in schools that are not part of the outsourcing program, ensuring the deployment of personnel where they are most needed.
Officials view this plan as a critical component of the government’s strategy to improve education standards. By addressing staff shortages, they aim to create a more supportive and effective learning environment for students.
