Petrol Prices in Pakistan Likely to Drop by Over Rs. 10

Petrol prices in Pakistan are expected to decrease in the coming days, offering potential relief to consumers. The anticipated reduction follows a decline in international oil prices, which have been on a downward trend.

Government sources indicate that petroleum product prices may see a notable cut in the next pricing cycle. Along with petrol, diesel prices are also likely to go down.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will prepare a summary with proposed adjustments and submit it to the prime minister for approval. Once finalized, the Finance Ministry will issue an official notification confirming the new rates.

The expected price drop is in line with global market trends. International crude oil prices have declined due to growing concerns over economic stability and potential shifts in production levels by oil-producing nations.

Brent crude and US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) prices have seen slight reductions, reflecting uncertainty in global demand.

If approved, the new prices will come into effect in the upcoming fortnightly review, providing relief to motorists and businesses affected by fuel costs. The government continues to monitor international oil trends and economic factors before making final decisions on local fuel prices.
