Pakistani-American candidate Ali Sheikhani has emerged victorious in the constable race in Fort Bend County, Texas. Sheikhani, who ran as a Republican candidate, defeated fellow Pakistani-origin candidate Nabil Shike for the position.

Sheikhani secured 39,936 votes, capturing 52% of the total, while his opponent, Democrat Shike, received 36,541 votes.

Who is Ali Sheikhani?

Ali Sheikhani was born in Karachi, Pakistan, but spent most of his life in the United States. Initially, he worked as a police officer in Texas before venturing into business.
