The delegation met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu at the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The JF-17 Thunder, developed collaboratively by Pakistan and China, has become a sought-after choice for countries seeking cost-effective yet highly capable combat aircraft.
With features like air-to-air and air-to-ground capabilities, advanced avionics, and the ability to carry precision-guided munitions, the JF-17 offers cutting-edge technology at a fraction of the cost of Western alternatives.
Pakistan has successfully exported the JF-17 to countries like Myanmar and Nigeria, demonstrating its appeal on the international defence market. Discussions with Bangladesh could further expand its export footprint, highlighting Pakistan’s growing role in the global arms industry.
During the visit, the Bangladeshi delegation commended the JF-17’s capabilities and showed keen interest in its production process. Air Chief Marshal Sidhu emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to fostering strong defence ties with Bangladesh and proposed joint training programs to deepen collaboration.
