The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has developed a mobile app – Pak-ID –for creating online Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
Thanks to the latest technology in Pakistan, fingerprints can also be taken on mobile phones for making CNIC.
NADRA has developed a mobile app for making online CNIC. The Pak-ID mobile application will capture biometrics and scan documents using smartphones.
This mobile app called PAK IDENTITY can be downloaded from the Play Store, which can be linked to NADRA’s web portal.

NADRA Chairman Tariq Malik said that the use of this technology in the digital sector will not only enable talented Pakistani youth to introduce a number of new products, services and facilities but will also boost the confidence of major online global organizations like Amazon and PayPal who will be inclined to expand their business in Pakistan and provide their services and facilities to Pakistani consumers.

In this regard, Prime Minister Imran Khan has also congratulated the NADRA team.
In a statement issued on Twitter, Prime Minister Imran Khan said, “NADRA has launched the PAK-ID mobile app which is a revolutionary step especially for the convenience of overseas Pakistanis.”

He added that the applicants of id.nadra.gov.pk can now obtain fingerprints, photographs and documents through their mobile phones.
