Sky Wings, a private aviation company, has introduced an air ambulance service in Pakistan. This initiative follows the Edhi Foundation’s efforts in providing similar services.
The company’s first air ambulance, a Piper Seneca aircraft, has arrived in Karachi and will be used to transfer patients from airports nationwide to medical facilities in Karachi.
The service ensures patients are accompanied by a trained medical team to receive urgent care during transportation.

Imran Aslam Khan, the CEO of Sky Wings Aviation, announced plans to expand the fleet soon with the addition of two more aircraft. This expansion will enhance the service’s reach, allowing patients across Pakistan to access timely medical assistance when needed.
Air ambulance services have been gaining attention as a vital part of emergency medical care. In 2022, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz introduced an air ambulance service under the provincial government, which successfully transported an injured patient from Mianwali to Rawalpindi.
Sky Wings’ new service represents a significant step in improving healthcare accessibility across the country. With faster transportation and equipped medical support, the air ambulance aims to save lives and provide a reliable option for emergency patient transfers.
