Karachi’s Inter Board office has seen long queues of students submitting scrutiny forms following widespread dissatisfaction with the recently released intermediate part-1 results for 2024. To provide some relief, the scrutiny fee has been slashed by 50%, now set at Rs500 per paper.
Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, the newly appointed chairman of the Higher Secondary Education Board Karachi, has formed an inquiry committee to address student complaints.

Shah, who assumed office on January 3, discussed the issue with Secretary of Universities and Boards, Muhammad Abbas Baloch, and vowed to ensure transparency in the examination process.
The inquiry committee will thoroughly investigate the results and resolve concerns within a month. Chairman Shah stressed the importance of addressing student grievances, calling them the nation’s future.
He pledged impartial efforts to enhance the result preparation process and improve transparency in paper checking.
Students and parents are encouraged to directly share complaints and suggestions with the board. Those dissatisfied with their results are advised to submit their scrutiny forms at the bank booth located at the Inter Board office. The board remains committed to ensuring fairness and restoring trust among students.
