The American ‘Toshakhana’, similar to the one in Pakistan, details were released on Friday by the American Federal Register.
Among the gifts, General Faiz Hameed’s gifts to the US Chief of Staff in 2021 has also been listed on the official website.
It is pertinent to note that the Office of the Chief of Protocol is responsible for maintaining records of gifts received by US officials.
All the details of the gifts, including the countries they came from and their value, received by the US government officials were published on the Federal Register website.
The Office of the Chief of Protocol provided a comprehensive listing of gift appraisals and donor information on Friday.
According to the records, the former ISI chief gifted multiple items to the US Chief of Staff.
The gifts included a carpet, a pashmina scarf and a brass vase valued at $715 to US Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley on July 30, 2021.
The most expensive gifts came from war-torn Afghanistan. Former First Lady of Afghanistan and the wife of former President Ashraf Ghani gifted US President Joe Biden’s wife a silk carpet worth $19,200.
