The Sindh government has proposed significant salary increases for its employees in the upcoming fiscal year. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, who also serves as the finance minister, presented a Rs3.056 trillion provincial budget for 2024-25.
In his budget speech, the chief minister announced a 30 percent salary increase for employees in BPS-1 to BPS-6, a 25 percent increase for those in BPS-7 to BPS-16, and a 22 percent raise for officers in BPS-17 to BPS-22.
Furthermore, CM Murad Ali Shah proposed a 15 percent increase in pensions for retired Sindh government employees and an increase in the minimum wage from Rs35,550 to Rs37,000.

The total budget allocation for the province is Rs3.056 trillion, with significant portions earmarked for key sectors. The government has allocated Rs519 billion for education and Rs334 billion for health. The transport sector will receive Rs56 billion, and Rs302 billion has been set aside for local government.
