British Council has opened the applications for the IELTS Prize 2023 for Pakistani students.
In an announcement, the British Council stated that every year the IELTS exam participants can get up to £5,000 towards university tuition fees in English-speaking institutes through this competition.
Pakistani students who applied through IELTS in Pakistan or abroad for undergraduate or postgraduate studies and their courses are scheduled to commence between January 2023 and March 2024 are eligible for IELTS Prize 2023.
IELTS test participants living in Pakistan, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka can also win the prize.
Out of thousands of students, only three will be selected to win the prize following competitive application process across all the countries.
Speaking about the prize, British Council Pakistan Country Director Amir Ramzan said, “Our IELTS prize winners have taken what they have learnt from their studies abroad and applied it to benefit their communities.
Application Process:
“Undertaking activities in your local communities” has been chosen as the theme for this year’s prize, stated the British Council on its website.
“For the IELTS prize this year, we want to hear how you are undertaking similar activities in your local communities,” it added.
There are two stages of the application process:
- Application phase one – Start writing! You’ll start your IELTS Prize application by filling out a detailed form.
- Application phase two – Get filming!
Application deadline for Phase 1 is September 15, whereas the last day to submit videos for Phase two is October 15.
The IELTS Prize 2023 winners will be announced in November 2023.
