Bizarre Way Secret Service Are ‘Blending In’ to Watch Over Barron Trump at NYU

Barron Trump’s first year at New York University is anything but typical. The 19-year-old son of former President Donald Trump is currently studying at NYU’s Stern School of Business, but his daily routine stands out sharply from that of his peers.

Each day begins with a motorcade of dark SUVs pulling out of Trump Tower, navigating nearly 50 blocks through Manhattan. Thanks to NYPD escorts, his journey bypasses the usual traffic snarls.

He enters campus through a hidden garage entrance, away from public view. At day’s end, Barron quietly exits through a different discreet door, returning to the tower in the same fashion.

While many students might spend their evenings socializing or grabbing a bite in the cafeteria, Barron maintains a far more private routine. According to reports, he’s never seen in the dining hall and is accompanied everywhere—even to restrooms—by his Secret Service team.

To help him blend in, his security detail reportedly ditched the standard suits and sunglasses. Instead, they’ve adopted more casual, student-like attire, aiming to avoid drawing attention while shadowing him on campus.

Despite these efforts, students have taken notice. When Barron first arrived last fall, some classmates snapped photos of him and shared them on social media. One student remarked, “He goes to class and leaves—he doesn’t stick around.” The unusual setup has earned him a reputation as something of a mystery figure at NYU.

There was even an instance where he was turned away from a local bar for not being able to prove he was over 21, according to reports. Another student once invited him to play basketball. Though Barron seemed interested, it was clear he wasn’t free to participate.

Instead, he’s said to enjoy online gaming—especially FIFA—and follows the English football club Arsenal closely.

While some classmates describe him as reserved, others say he’s popular among students. “He’s tall, good-looking, and gets plenty of attention—even from people who don’t agree with his family’s politics,” one classmate noted.

Still, others argue he doesn’t spend enough time on campus to build much of a social life.

Despite the spotlight, there are growing calls for Barron to be treated like any other student. Some, including former student leaders, have expressed concern about the overwhelming attention he receives, suggesting he deserves the chance to experience college without constant scrutiny.
