As the Pakistani government continues to provide better security for international teams, more and more teams are willing to come and play cricket infront of jam-packed stadiums. As per the latest reports, England cricket team is likely to visit Pakistan as early as in January next year.
A press release issued by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed recieving an invitation from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for a short white-ball tour. ECB lauded the fact that top international teams are touring Pakistan and also expressed its commitment to doing what they can to help Pakistan further.

The England cricket board further stated that before making a final decision a number of factors will be taken into consideration such as COVID-19 bio-secure bubbles, overall security in the country as well the hectic schedule of cricket team.
If this tour gets approved, it will be the first time since 2005 that the Englishmen will be in Pakistan for a cricket series. As per the Future Tours Programme (FTP), England is scheduled to play in Pakistan next year.
