Pakistan army has emerged as the rising global military power, according to Military Strength Rankings 2023.
The Pakistan army is now ranked as the 7th most powerful army in the world after jumping eight places in the last three years.
It was ranked at 15th position in 2020, 10 in 2021 and climbed further up to the 9th position in 2022.
The Global Firepower is an organization that has been publishing Military Strength Rankings since 2006.
It assign a ‘PowerIndex’ score to every country based on more than 60 factors to evaluate their potential war-making capabilities.
Pakistan has beaten developed countries such as Japan, France, Italy, Turkey, Iran, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Canada with a PowerIndex score of 0.1694.
