Shahid Khan Afridi, who represented the Gladiators in the Lankan Premier League, has suddenly started preparing to return home.
Former national cricket team captain and all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi informed cricket fans on social networking site Twitter that he has decided to return home due to a personal emergency.
“Unfortunately I have a personal emergency to attend to back home. I will return to join back my team at LPL immediately after the situation is handled,” Afridi wrote.
Although, the former Cricketer didn’t share further details regarding his early return back home but apparently it’s a family issue. Shahid Khan Afridi also extended his best wishes to all the teams and players participating in the Lankan Premier League.
Afridi made 58 off 23 balls in the Gladiators’ season opener against Jaffna Stallions last Friday, hitting six fours and three sixes, to start the tournament. However, the Gladiators are at the bottom of the points table and have lost all three of their games so far and are yet to open their account in the tournament.
