The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) recently published the financial records of the members of the provincial assemblies along with national assembly and Pakistan senate. Do you know who emerged as the wealthiest CM of Pakistan?
Well, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s chief minister, Mahmood Khan, has the most assets compared to the other three. CM Mehmood Khan has assets worth Rs2.86 billion. Balochistan’s CM Jam Kamal Khan is the second most rich CM with assets worth over Rs1.6 billion.
Kamal owns 15 vehicles worth Rs48.1 million, properties worth Rs720 million and Rs840 million in the country and an inherited property worth Rs50 million abroad. Furthermore, he also has investments valued at Rs19.4 million in Pakistan.
Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah is the fourth most rich CM in Pakistan with his assets way below the CMs of Balochistan, KPK and Punjab. Murad Ali Shah has Rs230.35 million worth of assets. He owns cars worth Rs10.5 million each. Moreover, 100 tolas of gold was gifted to him by his mother. The plots owned by his daughters are also valued at Rs 2 million each.
Although, most of us might have thought that Punjab’s CM Usman Buzdar wouldn’t have much assets but this isn’t so. CM Buzdar has also turned out to be a millionaire. He has Rs770 million in his bank account and owns three tractors and two vehicles. Furthermore, his 10 immovable properties are worth Rs35 million. He also owns 14-kanal bungalow in Taunsa Sharif along with four kanals in Dera Ghazi Khan.
