what is medical science

What is Medical Science? The dictionary definition is “the application of scientific methods to improve the treatment of diseases, and the prevention or the treatment of deformities resulting from injuries, disease, or other causes”. It should be noted that there are many subtopics within this topic. However, the science itself is generally divided into three main areas: Pathology, Pharmacology, and Biology.

Pathology is one of the easier subtopics to tackle when one is thinking about what is medical science. This is because most of the sciences involve treating patients with tissue samples taken from the body. Therefore, all forms of Pathology involve the study and prevention of disease via examination, diagnosis, and treatment of tissue samples taken from infected or injured patients. Because of the general interest in and fascination with this subject, many books have been written on the subject and it has even been studied in major universities such as Harvard and Yale for students who are majoring in similar fields such as genetics, biology, etc.

Pharmacology is another subtopic which deals with the function of chemicals and how they affect the human body. This includes the knowledge of how drugs work and the side effects that may occur. Pharmacology can also be broken down into specific sections which include Analytical Chemistry, Biochemical Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology, Efficacy and Effectiveness, Drug Design and Development, Health System Pharmacology, and Healthcare Pharmacology. There are also subtopics such as Actions of Chemicals on Humans, Biological Studies in Pharmacology, Chronic Disease Research, Drug Monitoring, Drugs in Women’s Health, and Injury Prevention and Treatment. As one can see, a great deal of information is shared in what is medical science. While some topics overlap and some do not, there is a great deal of general information that can be generalized in the area of pharmacology.

Biology is another important subtopic in what is medical science. This is the area of studying the structure and development of living things. From cell to human, all things in this world are comprised of molecules. The relationship between humans and other organisms is deeply intertwined with the structure of cells. There are numerous subtopics in biology that include cell physiology, development, genetics, metabolism, development and so much more.

Botany is one of the subtopics in medical science that requires some research in order to understand the full meaning of this word. Botany is the study of how plants grow and develop from seeds. This subtopic deals with the study of the relationships between plants and humans. It is also the study of the relationships between man and various types of botany. Botany does not only involve the growth of plants, but also involves their distribution throughout the different types of environments that they grow in.

Neurological Disorders is one of the most difficult subtopics in medical science. These disorders involve the brain and the spinal cord, which is considered to be the central nervous system of the body. It is a field of medical research that studies the functions and abnormalities of the central nervous system. The study of these disorders is what is medical science call Neuromuscular Pathology.
