In another case of forced conversions in Sindh, a 13-year-old christian girl, Arzoo Raja, was kidnapped, forcefully converted to Islam and married to a 44-year-old man.
As per reports, Arzoo was playing outside her home when she was kidnapped and later her kidnapper forced her to convert to Islam and married her. Following this incident different women rights organizations such as Aurat March and people from the minority community are protesting for her safe return to her family.
Surprisingly, a local court on thursday sent the 13-year-old with her kidnapper based on an affidavit signed under duress.
Furthermore, her parents weren’t even allowed to enter the courtroom despite her abductor being present their. In a video shared by the Voice of Minority Twitter account, her parents can be seen helplessy looking for their daughter outside the court.
Pakistan’s Human Rights Minister – Shireen Mazari – is yet to take any action despite over two weeks of the 13-year-old’s abduction. It is pertinent to mention that Shireen Mazari, who actively raises her voice for minorities across the globe, hasn’t even tweeted about the matter.
People are also urging the so-called Human Rights Minister to take action but it seems Shireen Mazari is more concerned about minorities in India, France and other countries than her own country.
